Evelyn Genell Page, 88, Retired Public Education Secretary, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022. No Services. Preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Donald Page; parents, Marion and Maud Whittington. Survived by her daughter, Pamela Powell of Addison, TX; niece, Quen (Charles) Osbourne of Cameron, TX; nephew, Chester E. “Buddy” Hays. She loved flowers, gardening, and interior design. She was a talented pianist, playing for Sunday School services at her church. A memorial has been established with: Immanuel Baptist Church, Flower Fund, 1415 Topeka St., Wichita, KS 67211. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.
