Roby, Floyd E., 90, retired accountant, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at the Robert Dole V.A. Center. Service 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 19, 2005, First Presbyterian Church Chapel. Floyd was born to Loren and Amanda Hardin Roby, February 13, 1914, in Dodge City, KS. He was a graduate of Friends University. Floyd served with the Army Airborne during WWII and was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors: wife, Betty; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Warren and Eiko Roby of Siloam Springs, AR; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Kenny Wright of Wichita; son, Bruce Roby of Wichita; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Riley of Salem, OR and Nona Barr of Albuquerque, NM. Memorials have been established with Friends University, 2100 W. University, Wichita, KS, 67213 and First Presbyterian Church, 525 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS, 67214. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

  2. The Roby family were childhood friends of mine and even tho we are not in touch all that frequently I still cherish my memories of them and what sweet people they were/are. I spent many hours in their home and am very sad to hear of Floyd’s passing. He was a great guy and my love and prayers go out to him and the family.
