Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Denise, Sorry to hear of your mother passing away. Marlene King mentioned it to me. Losing a parent brings floods of memories. A pillar in your life is now gone. And I think being single often adds to the loss. May the Lord give you His peace through this time and may you sense His presence and love.
My deepest sympathy and prayers goes out to Fonda’s family. I had the privilege of teaching with her for a few years before she left West H.S. What a talented and sweet spirited lady. I know she touched the lives of so many people here in Wichita. She will be missed.
Denise & Family – I know your mother is now in the presence of the One she so faithfully served all these years….and in that hope, we rejoice with her. Yet, while we are still ‘in the flesh’, we experience the pain of loss and temporary separation. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers today.
I saw Mrs.Wren’s notice in the Eagle, and I’m sure she was my instructor for a Foods class I took around ’69 or ’70. I was a senior and needed some elective credits, so some of us guys took foods. It was fun, and I’m sure we weren’t her star students! Our collective interests ran more toward girls and our cars. Dan Dopps was in our ‘kitchen’ and for our big final meal, Dan’s job was to order ingredients, and he forgot the meat!!! We gave him holy you-know-what for that, but Mrs. Wren encouraged us that it was not a disaster. She was cool, and very enthusiastic despite having a group like us! My sister was my guest for that dinner, whom we just lost. I know it’s never easy, so I hope this helps in some way. Paul Peach, West High graduate
Denise and family, I am sending you our heartfelt condolences and to let you know you are in our thoughts and prayers thru this difficult time.
Fonda Wren was one of a kind. I had the privilege to serve as Principal at West High School while she was there. Her willingness to do whatever it took to help our staff and, more importantly, our students, was unparalleled. Not only was she an outstanding educator, she was an outstanding person. My condolences to Denise and the rest of her family.
To Larry and Family, Ed and I were sad to know you lost your Mother. Ed and I will never forget what you told us at his Mothers service, were the Parents now! Well shes in Heaven with Jesus and your Dad and doing just fine! Love,Ed,Julie,Alex and Kimberly Kope.
Larry, Cynthia, and Denise — Please accept my deepest sympathies on the death of your mother. She is such a fixture in my mind of my years growing up at Westlink and beyond. Her kindness to my mother as she struggled with her illness was a wonderful example of a life of true generosity and service. I hope you can take comfort in knowing that your mother is at peace. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all.
