Barkett, Frances Lucille “Dundee” Kallail, 90, fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, December 7, 2008. Visitation for Frances will be 4:00 ~ 6:00, Tuesday, December 9 with a Trisagion and funeral service at 6:30 P.M., both at St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church, 344 S. Martinson. Trisagion 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, December 10, St. Mary Orthodox. Entombment will follow at Serenity Mausoleum, Old Mission Cemetery, 3424 E. 21st. Frances was born December 19, 1917 in Forgan, Oklahoma to Samuel and Clara Kallail. She was preceded in death by husband, Michael, parents, Samuel and Clara Kallail and brothers, Phillip, George and Donald Kallail. She is survived by her brother, Robert Kallail whom she raised and her sister-in-law, Norene Kallail. She is also survived by her special niece, Julie (Kallail) Abraham and her husband, Jerry; her god daughter, Briana Nassif; nieces, Kara (Kallail) Maxwell, Michelle (Kallail) White, Pamela (Kallail) Summers and Denise (Kallail) Wetz; nieces and nephews, Mickey, Denny and George Cohlmia as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Father Peter Smith for his gracious care and sharing his son, Nicholas with “Sitti Frances”; a very special thank you to Dr. Mitchell Morgan and the MICU staff at Via Christi St. Francis Campus for their compassionate care of Frances; the staff at Sterling House at Tallgrass who made the last year and a half very rewarding for Frances; Michelle Heppler who made Frances always look beautiful each week and to Rosemary Kallail who was always there to help Julie and Bob whenever asked, both who Frances loved like daughters. A memorial has been established with St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church, 344 S. Martinson, Wichita, KS, 67213. Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Visitation for Frances will be 4:00 ~ 6:00, Tuesday, December 9 with a Trisagion and funeral service at 6:30 P.M., both at St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church, 344 S. Martinson.
