Frances Marie (Bartak) Plevka

Frances Marie Plevka passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at the age of 94, while in the care of her family. Frances was born May 2, 1925, near Narka, Kansas, to Stanley and Elizabeth Bartak. She was the oldest of two children and graduated from Munden High School in 1944. She married Edward Plevka on June 15, 1949. They were blessed with six children: Barbara, Donald, Dorothy, Susan, Theresa and Mary. They moved from a farm near Cuba, Kansas, to Wichita, Kansas, in 1968. Frances has 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and brother. Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, August 13 from 7-9 pm at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Rosary, 10 a.m.; Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m., both Wednesday, August 14, at Church of the Holy Spirit, 18218 W. US 54 in Goddard, Kansas.
