Frank J. Rossi was born in New York City on March 16, 1928 and died at the age of 90 on February 27, 2019 in Wichita, Kansas. He was an Aerospace Engineering Manager and retired after 40 years with Boeing. Prior to that, Frank served in the U.S. Navy and later attended Kansas State University where he met and married his beautiful wife, Norma Jean Wells. He and his wife remained lifelong friends with their college companions, a group deemed “The Jolly Breakers.” Frank was an avid bowler and bocci player and was a member of the American Legion Post 104. Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years Norma, his son and daughter-in-law Randy and Michele Rossi, and daughter Karla Rossi. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Nick Girolamo and sisters-in-law Louise Voth and Doretha Wells and many dear and special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Frank is the son of the late Carlo and Ida Rossi and brother of the late Marie Girolamo. He is also preceded in death by his grandson Alexander Rossi, sister-in-law Maxine Collings and brothers-in-law Leo Collings, Harold Voth, and Donald Wells. No formal services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with The American Heart Association, 1861 N. Rock Rd. #380, Wichita KS 67206. Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.
