Smith, Frank R, 91, passed from life on Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Wichita. He was born on October 27, 1920 in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of John Nelson Smith and Eva Mae Gray. Frank spent his early years in Wichita and graduated from Wichita North High School in 1939. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and worked for The Boeing Co. for 37 years, retiring as a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager in 1982. Over the course of his life, he also resided in Media, PA, Bothell and Marysville, WA, Bella Vista, AR. and Henderson, NV. Frank was a 66 year member of the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge #303, the Scottish Rite Temple and the Midian Shrine. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma J. in 2009, sisters Elizabeth V. Stiles in 1998 and Luvina R. Fisher in 2009 and half-brother John N. Smith Jr. in 1975. Survivors: daughter Judy K. Bruce of Andover, KS, son Philip R. (Susan) Smith of Wichita, KS, sister Bonnie J. Raines of Prague, OK, half-sisters Phillis K. Eble of Oklahoma City, OK, and Flora A. Hyman of Wichita Falls, TX, along with 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A gathering will be held on Tuesday, December 13 at Downing Lahey Mortuary, 6555 E. Central, from 6:30PM - 8:30PM. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, December 14th at Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita. Graveside service will be 11:00AM Wednesday. Albert Pike Masonic Lodge #303 AFAM will be conducting the service with Military Services provided by Ft. Riley.
