Fred Bell

Fred Bell 92, passed away Wednesday May 11, 2016. Fred was born December 16, 1923 in Wichita, KS to Carl A. and Miriam C. Bell. He attended North High and after graduation, enrolled in Wichita University. After a year, he enlisted in the Army and served in the 104th Infantry Div. (Timberwolves) until 1945. When he returned, he married Sally Sandifer and continued working in the family business, Carl Bell Markets until he retired in 1989. He served on the boards of Security Abstract & Title Co. and Mid Kansas Federal Savings and Loan. He loved hunting and fishing and doting on the grandkids. He is preceded death by his wife Sally; and his brothers, Carl Jr. and Jack. He is survived by his son, David, and partner, Jennifer Combs; daughter, Carolyn and partner, Margery Pacheco; daughter, Nancy Ringer (Calvin); grandchildren, Amy and Michael Ringer, and Tagen and Francesca Pacheco. A memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, Monday, May 16th at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 3750 E.
