Robinson, M.D., Fred W., 91, retired Surgeon, died Monday, July 12, 2010. Memorial Service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, July 30, 2010, St. James Episcopal Church Chapel, 3750 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS. Fred was born May 9, 1919 in Sturgis, MI to Fred W. Robinson, M.D. and Mildred C. Robinson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Laura. Survivors include children; Susan Jones (Warren), Fred “Fritz” Robinson, Jr. (Jennifer), both of Wichita, KS, Grandchildren; Warren G. Jones, Jr. (Molly), Katherine M. Jones, Fred “Will” W. Robinson, Carter P. Robinson, Braden S. Robinson, Sister-in-law; Barbra S. Menzel (Harry), Denver, CO, Brother-in-law; Arthur Raymond Spencer (Claudia), Upland, CA. Fred was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Waco, TX. He attended The University of Michigan where he obtained his Medical Degree. He was a Captain and Flight Surgeon in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Freds hobbies include Music, Percussionist in Bands and Orchestras. He was a 60 year Mason holding plural membership in three Masonic Lodges in Texas and was a Past Master of Herring Lodge No. 1224 in Waco, TX. He was active in York Rite Masonry having held the position of Eminent Commander of Waco Commandery No. 10, Knights Templar. He received the Excaliber Award and was a life sponsor of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation. He held offices in the DeMolay Conclave of the Red Cross of Constantine and was a member of the Grand Council of the Order of the Priesthood, the York Rite Sovereign College of North America, the Texas York Rite College No. 14, and received the Knight York Cross of Honor (KYCH) in Texas Priory No. 23. He was an endowed member of the Waco Scottish Rite Bodies and was a member of Waco Karem Shrine Temple. He served as president of the George R. “Bob” Scott Chapter #482 of National Sojourners in Waco and as Commander of the Ben Henley Varner Camp of Heroes of 76.
