Service 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 30, 2006 at Eastminster Presbyterian Chapel. Survivors: wife, Phillis (Hetherington) Schumaker; brother, Kenneth (LaDona) Schumaker of Wichita; nephew, Grant (Kathy) Schumaker of Deer Harbor, WA. A memorial has been established with the Wichita Scottish Rite Charitable Trust, Building Fund, 332 E. First, Wichita, KS, 67202. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

I am very thankful I got to know Fred as a friend in these last few months of his life. His attitude throughout his illness was remarkable. He often had a joke to tell and would pray for me after I prayed for him. I am happy he is with his Lord and no longer hurts, and I am praying for you, Phillis.
