Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Linda, I wanted to wait a while to send you a note about Ron. I thought that you should have some time to gather your thoughts. It was so quick for you. Ron just meant so much to me and my family. He was totally confident in me to work with the insurance in the Residence Inn days and it helped me so much to have his confidence. Because of that in the early days of the hotel biz we became very successful and ended up insuring over 1600 hotels and had Marriotts endorsement(and still do) for all these years. Of course like about anything we did good and sold to a national public company and made lots of money. Ron was part of our company for a while and we bought him out years ago, but it was nice to have him on the team….as he was on many teams!! It was also nice of both of you during my divorce for you to take me in and allow me to join your bible study. That was a great comfort. I am just sorry that I didn’t see Ron for the last few years other than at a distance. One of those things you wish you would have done when you look back. Anyway I am sure you have lots of friends and are getting all the assistance you need. If there is any way I could be of help to you, please call me anytime. Best of luck to you and the rest of your family. Craig Smith
LINDA–RON AND I PLAYED AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL TOGETHER ABOUT 48 YEARS AGO. I AM 1 YEAR OLDER BUT BECAUSE OF THE WAY OUR BIRTHDAYS FELL WE WERE ABLE TO PLAY ON THE SAME TEAM. HE WAS A GOOD GUY THEN AND ,EVENTHOUGH WE DIDN’T SEE ONE ANOTHER FOR MANY YEARS, 10 YEARS AGO WHEN WE MOVED TO THE PINNACLE AND JOINED CRESTVIEW, WE WOULD SEE ONE ANOTHER AT THE DRIVING RANGE AND GET TO VISIT. RON ALWAYS TOOK THE TIME TO CHAT WHICH I ENJOYED AND APPRECIATED AND HE WAS A GOOD GUY TO DO THAT. I WAS SO SORRY TO LEARN THE SAD NEWS. YOU AND YOUR DAUGHTER AND ALL OF YOUR AND RON’S FAMILY ARE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS
Our thoughts and prayers are with you on this very sad day. Enjoy the memories- I have a few when Ron and I were younger.
Dearest Linda, Alisa and family, We are holding you close in our thoughts and prayers. Nancy and Wayne Wallace Shannon and Tim Castillo Tyler Rowe
Please accept my deepest sympathy at this saddest of times.
Hello Linda, My prayers are with you and your family that you find comfort and peace. I know I haven’t been in touch with you and Ron very much since my departure from Residence Inns, but I felt strongly about sharing a few words with you. I must tell you that there have been numerous times over the last 20 years when the thought of G. Ron Tyler has put a smile on my face and a warm feeling in my heart. When I worked with Ron, I believe we shared a closeness that was very special to me. There are many things I admire about Ron, but the most I admire was his ability to find the lighter side of our sometimes difficult situations. He was very good at breaking the tension and it seems like I was always in a postion where that’s just what was needed. I can still hear his signature laugh, and he had a great sense of humor that I was always looking for when I was with him. He always made me laugh. I can still see him at the old office sitting behind his always tidy desk with his perfectly position necktie. Yes, I aspired to dress as well as he did, and even shopped where he shopped, but I couldn’t quite pull it all together like he could. He did have a positive influence in my life and we had a lot of special moments together. I thank God that G. Ron Tyler touched my life. Linda, although I did not have that one last word with him, please let me say to you…’Thank you G. Ron Tyler for being everthing you were to me when we were working together. You are loved and will always be remembered.’ May God’s spirit keep you and your family comforted.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family through this difficult time. I am comforted and send comfort with the words: ‘I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18
So sorry about Ron.. If there is anything we can do, please feel free to call. Kent is planning on returning Wednesday, if that is alright with you. Our prayers are with you.
Dear Linda, I was so sorry to learn of Ron’s death upon reading the paper this morning, and can only guess at what a difficult time this must be for you. I have so many fond memories of Ron, and his prowress on the golf course. He was always quick with a joke, and would readily flash his smile. Hold fast to the many wonderful memories you have of him, for they are a permanent part of you, and will always be there for you to enjoy. I know the Lord will continue to hold you and comfort you during this callenging time. Know that you and yours are in my thoughts and prayers. Fondly, Jinx
We wanted you to know how sorry we are about your loss. Mr. Tyler was a very generous booster during the time that Jeff played baseball at WSU (1986-1990), and we will always remember his giving spirit. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I remember “Ron” from our Fast-Pitch Softball days from the mid 1970’s to the early 1980’s. He was one of the really good good guys and a hoot to be around. Wonderful memories. Unforgettable. Almost seventeen years in Paradise now. It was a pleasure my wonderful friend. Godspeed and rest well….
