Garry Louis Riemann, son of Louis and Katherine Riemann was born August 26, 1933, in Norton County, Kansas, passed from this life in Wichita, KS on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the age of 88. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years and then retired from the Post Office after another 25 years. He was member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 37 years. He loved woodworking, being "Mr. Fixit" and KU Basketball!!! He was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda; son, Douglas (Glenda) Riemann of Wichita; daughters, Debbie (Dave) Wiesner of Derby, KS; Cindy (Chris) Huffman of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Jeanine Reading of Wichita, KS; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Services will be live streamed and available to view on St. Joseph’s facebook page. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Good Shepherd Hospice, 7829 E. Rockhill St., Suite 403, Wichita, KS 67206. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.

As my nextdoor neighbor Garry and I spent many many hours chatting about life. He was the neighborhood handyman and he even got me to climb a ladder with him while painting our houses. He loved my Westie dogs and always had a treat for them. He also loved talking about basketball and the Jayhawks.. He was the best neighbor ever. I am happy to have known him and will miss him! Jackie
