Gary Dave Galyardt January 1, 1934 - November 1, 2020 Wichita, Kansas Memorial service, 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 9, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. A lifelong resident of Wichita, Gary graduated from Maize High School then joined the US Navy in 1952. Later, Gary and Bob Hanna founded G&H Construction. Gary was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church. He and his wife, Lois, loved working all over the central and western United States as camp workers in RV parks. They shared a successful crafting business, L&G Crafts, and they traveled throughout the US selling original crafts they had made. Gary was an ardent reader and was never without a book. He was devoted to his family and friends and couldn’t have loved them more. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Mary Galyardt; siblings, Henrietta Cupps, Vernon, Ronnie and Donnie. Survivors: wife, Lois; children, David (Marsha) Galyardt, Lori (Bob) Touchatt, Sheryl (Steve) Thompson, Gaylan (Lisa) Gourley, Kevin (Michaela) Gourley, Shawna (Dustin) Land; sister, Joan (Dean) Smith; grandchildren, Gary and Rick Thompson, Michelle and Michael Galyardt, Daniel (Ashley) Touchatt, Joel (Jackie) Touchatt, Kyle (Rachel) Touchatt, Garrett, Morgan, Gaige, Dalton, Ryon, Phoenix, Elliot, Emersyn, Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Samantha, Ava, Mia, Zoe, Zeke, Jackson, and Parker.   2. My dear friends Gary and Lois. We became life friends on a guided trip to Australia snd New Zealand! What a great time .. best ever. We met up with another couple and we became the 3 musketeers. So many laughs. We love Gary and he will be missed. We called him “Jack”after his favorite beverage!! ❤️❤️

  3. It was a beautiful service. Uncle Gary always had such a great presence about him. His laugh was infectious and I have so many great memories of his and my dad’s (Chet Clark) fishing stories and how much fun we had going to the lake. I am deeply saddened for all of his family.
