Gary Dean Carson

Carson, Gary Dean 75, died peacefully Sunday, November 8, 2015. Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Gary was born April 11, 1940, to the late Clifford C. Carson and Ethel McGrew Carson. His sister Jeanine Carson also predeceased him. Gary earned his Master of Fine Arts from Wichita State University and had a lifelong rewarding career as a painter, showing his work in galleries in Wichita and the Southwest, and winning numerous awards and accolades. He worked as Visual Manager at J.C. Penney, and enjoyed traveling extensively. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Skaff Carson; daughter, Deborah Carson Oppenheimer (Donna Harris); stepsons, Devin Frambers, Christopher Frambers (Veronica), David Frambers; step-grandchildren, Christopher, William, Natalie, Vanessa and Ava; and canine buddies, Chloe, Huxley, Piper, Cubby, DeeDee and Danny.
