Deanna and Family, Hearing of George’s accident was so heartbreaking. George was a man of many talents, a great sense of humor, and so kind. Mostly, I think of all the beautiful things he made for your classroom, Deanna, and for the atrium at St. Thomas Aquinas. May your family find peace and comfort at this time.
I was in highschool when I first met George. He was in a play that I saw, so full of life and imagination. We dated briefly but he always remained a family friend and met Deana at my wedding. George, you were meant to be in my life. I last saw you in August on your Iowa visit at Steve and Denice’s home. You were so happy, so at peace with finally retiring, happy with family, looking forward to birth of new grandchild in January and full of life having just come from a visit with Cole who had just returned home from the hospital. I feel you were doing what you love out on your bike that last morning. I trust you will find new adventures in eternity. Lead the way. You will be missed here with us now.
When Mr. Hanson came and visited Emily at work, he was always lovely to talk with and was a kind soul. My condolences to Emily and the entire Hanson family.
Having worked with George was an honor not given to many. He was truly a Renaissance Man, and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He touched many lives in the most positive ways, mine included. Our prayers are with Deeanna and his family. Fred R. Johnson
