  1. George was a very special man and such a source of encouragement to both Warren and myself. Warren fought the cancer battle less than two years; George fought that battle 20 plus years and was still fighting it. It takes a special individual to persevere such a long fight. What a blessing he was to so many. Judy Kennedy

  2. LeAnn, we’re so sorry to hear this very sad news. Fortunately you have many good, wholesome and fun memories to live in your hearts forever. Our condolences to you and your family. Janet and Dana Davis

  3. My old Friend George. Met and worked with him at LearJet and instantly liked him. Over the years I’ve often thought how he and his family was doing. A genuinely nice nice man. He was fun to be with and always had laugh in mind. Rest well George.

  4. George Was One Of The Good Guys. In all of my years at KGE/ WCNOC and the time I shared with George, I always found him to be one of the best to work with. I shared a birthday with him, though he is 3 years older, so we would exchange emails periodically in Dec. after we went our separate ways. So, I have thought of him and probably will continue to, on my birthday. My condolences to All. John Holland

    • Thank you for your thoughts. I remember meeting you and hearing George speak of you. So glad to know you share a birthday. LeAnn

  5. I knew George through my many years of friendship with LeAnn. George was such a nice guy, always fun to visit with, always ready with a smile. I’m so sorry for your loss and my love and prayers go out to you LeAnn, Brit, Andrea and extended family.

  6. Uncle George is the face of friendship and kindness!! So thankful for the life you lived so well. You were safe, kind, and always a joy & encouragement. Definitely sad not to get to share more holidays and family events with you in person – your memory and warmth will always be felt though. We were the luckiest to know you on this green Earth. Picturing you with Rocky & if you see Jackson, Please rub his belly for us too!!!

  7. My name is Virginia Lytle. Paul and I knew George and Leann when we were younger and Paul and George worked at KG&E. He played softball with us and maybe volleyball thru the Kge league. Paul passed away in January from Covid. He now has another good friend to do things with in Heaven. Leann I feel for your loss as I have been dealing with it for months now. All I can say is keep going one step at a time . He would have wanted you to be happy and cherish all those 30+ years of good times and memories.

  8. My deepest sympathy to the Maskrid family. I worked with George at Wolf Creek. He was always professional and helpful. He had a great sense of humor and was a friend to all. He will be greatly missed. Leann and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
