Georgia Aaron, 89, died Sunday, January 29, 2017. Georgia was born on January 23, 1928, in Marion County, Kansas, to Joseph and Mary Holub. She attended St. John Nepomucene Parish School in Pilsen, where her instructors included Servant of God Emil Kapaun, and Cathedral High School in Wichita. Georgia shared fifty-six blest years with her husband, Phillip ("Mike") Aaron before his death in 2007. She is remembered by family and friends as a woman of deep faith wholly devoted to her family, with keen insight and a sharp wit. Alas, Georgia was only an average bridge player. Georgia is preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Holub, and sister, Irene Dougherty. She is survived by her children, Mary Pat Aaron and husband, Kevin Jones of Wichita; Susan Aaron Moller and husband, Stephen of Woodinville, WA; Rita Snider and husband, Alan of Wichita; Vincent Aaron and wife, Mary of Wichita; Jaculin Aaron of New York, NY; and Martie Ross and husband, Philip of Leawood; her sister, Frances Stuchlik of Marion; her brother, Joseph Holub and wife, Lana of Haysville; her grandchildren, Eric Snider and wife, Ali, and their children, Elise and Corinne of Raleigh, NC; Jon Snider of Wichita; Jackson and Amelia Ross of Leawood; and Tim Bertrand of Minneapolis, MN; her step-grandchild, Aaron Coon and his children, Bayley and Cassidey; her sisters-in-law, Elaine Aaron and Therese Schlotthauer of Wichita; life-long family friend, Richard Brown of Wichita; numerous nieces and nephews; and her cat, Lizzie, now residing in Kiowa. Rosary service 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 31 and Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 1, both at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Andover, KS. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Memorial has been established with St. Anthony Family Shelter, 256 N. Ohio, Wichita, KS 67214. Downing & Lahey Mortuary East.
