Buendia, Gerison Lee, 7 month old son of Gerry Lee Buendia Jr., and Alishia Christine Johnson died Wednesday, January 24, 2007. Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 29, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Preceded in death by great-grandfather, Bernard Eisenbart, and great-grandmothers, Edna Buendia and Mary Sapp. Survivors: parents, Gerry L. Buendia, Jr. and Alishia C. Johnson; grandparents, Kent C. and Cynthia L. Johnson of Park City, KS, Jacque Tolle, Gerry P. and Marilyn Buendia, Sr. and Vicki Tate, all of Wichita; great-grandparents, Colleen Eisenbart and Glenda Johnson, both of Parsons and Carleton Johnson of Muleshoe, TX; great-great-grandmother, Nelda Cook of Parsons; aunts and uncles, Nicole L. Johnson, Lamar and Evelyn Buendia-Miller, Jamey and Angela Cockrum, Gerlyn Buendia, Justine Buendia, Jamie Wellbrock, Shannon James, Crystal Garcia and Genny Gadelkarim, all of Wichita; god-parents, Jamie Wellbrock and Rogelio Garcia. Memorials have been established with Rainbows United, 340 S. Broadway, Wichita, KS, 67202 and Ronald McDonald House, 1110 N. Emporia, Wichita, KS, 67214. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

It’s hard to know just what to say, when one so young is taken away. Far too soon he had to part, His memory forever engraved in our heart. We only knew him for a short while, but the life he led sure made us smile. He was so beautiful and oh so rare, the life as they say just isn’t fair. Those still left here, he will watch with care, till the day comes when we’ll all join him there. Know Gerison is taking care of you from heaven above, and with each ray of sunshine, he’s sending his love. Alisha and Family I know this time is unbearable for you all.
