Gina Rae Epps

Epps, Gina Rae, 63, retired homemaker and parent, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M, Friday, January 24, 2014, at Downing Lahey East Mortuary. Gina was born March 11, 1950, in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas, the daughter of Charles Dewey Thomas and Lea Nadene (Jeffries) Thomas. The family moved to Rose Hill, Kansas in 1965. Gina graduated from Rose Hill High School in 1968. Gina was employed at Boeing until she became disabled in 1979 following a stroke. She loved dogs and rescued two over the years. She worked with her dad at Tommies Cleaners for several years. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Thomas. She is survived by her mother, Nadene Thomas of Wichita, KS; daughter, Courtney J. (Rickie) Patrick of Wichita, KS; sisters, Pat (John) Schwartz of Blue Rapids, KS, and Paula (Chris) Phillips of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Diasha and Rickie, Jr.; and by a niece and two nephews. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established for the Kansas Humane Society. Downing Lahey East Mortuary.
