His career included stints in camera sales and repair, telescope/binocular repair and as a computer technician. A man of deep faith, Glen served as the director of a Christian retreat center for a number of years. He also started a business in large-format digital printing as the technology was first emerging. Following the end of his professional career, Glen continued to be available for family, friends, friends of friends and his church to help troubleshoot whatever technology issues arose.Glen was well known for his silly sense of humor, his vast knowledge of cartoons, and his love for 60’s and 70’s rock music. His incredible ability to retain vast amounts of useless information made him the ultimate trivia game partner. His hobbies included talking back to local meteorologists during their telecasts, arguing with the cat and restoring his 1972 Mercury Capri. He particularly loved to shoot the moon while playing cards, a tactic that was rarely successful.Glen was known for his caring nature, his gentle disposition, and more than anything else, for his deep love of family. Glen was a kind, funny man. I am praying for peace beyond all understanding for his family and friends.
Whenever I had to call for tech help, I always hoped it was Glen who answered! He was patient, kind, and went the extra mile. I’ll miss the cartoons and interesting tidbits he’d send me knowing I’d be interested in what he’d found. I’m praying for Heather and the rest of the family for their loss.
I was a classmate of Glen, all the way back to grade school. His heart was as big as he was tall. I am saddened by his passing and not knowing he was having health concerns.
Glen was a kind, caring man. I first met Glen at Covenant Cedars Bible camp. It was his encouragement that made me, a shy quiet kid who did not love camp, want to be a camp counselor. Through Glen’s encouragement and God’s grace I was able to serve at CCBC for 10 summers. Great memories of working with Glen. I know he will be missed.
