Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Emily, I just found out about Gust when I went to the Garden City Telegram website. I was so sorry to know that Gust died. He delivered my son Ken who is a successful veteranarian in Colo. Springs. I hope you and the rest of your family will accept our deepest sympathies. We are still in Sun City West, Az. I would love to see you again. Sincerely, Marolyn & Jerry Chmelka

  2. Dearest Emily, Gust, Signne, and Anna, Please accept my heartfelt condolences over the loss of your beloved husband, and father. I have so many lovely memories of Dr. Nelson. He was my physician, and the employee of my mother, Alberta. He treated us with such gentleness, and respect. We all have lost a special human being. Please take comfort in knowing that fond memories will live on. Sincerely, Jane (Ludwig) Gay 1310 E Orange Grove Blvd. Pasadena, CA 626-356-9264

  3. Dear Emily, Gust(y), Signe, and Anna, Gust was always a special person in my life. Not only did he take care of my medical problems (incuding a prescription for a kidney stone long after he and Emily moved to Wichita), but he also delivered my two daughters, Michelle (Chelle) and Kristen. Chelle is a member of East Heights UMC so she would let me know when she heard something about either Emily or Gust. Evelyn and Natalie will be at the services; I so wish that I also could be there, but just can’t make it happen today. My thoughts and prayers are with you all today and in the days to come. Emily, if you need anything, feel free to call Chelle; she would be honored to help in any way. I will be forwrding a memorial to East Heights UMC in Gust’s honor. With love and respect, Beth (Greathouse) Tedrow

  4. Sorry to hear about your loss. Dr Nelson was the doctor whom delivered me nearly 40 years ago Dec 7, 1966. I was also named after his daughter Signe and tell everyone proudly about my name. I wish that I could be apart of his furneral but sorry that I am unable to do so. Signe Foreman maiden name was Signe Page

  5. Dear Sig and the entire Nelson Family: Please know that we are thinking of all of you and keeping you in our prayers at this difficult time. Love

  6. My heartfelt condolences on your loss. I had only known Gust for a little over a year, but always enjoyed visiting with him when I had the chance while I worked on his irrigation system for Suburban Landscape Management. He was quite an interesting character, and our conversations were highlighted by his stories of his travels. He was a kind, friendly man that I will miss. May God keep you in the palm of His hand.
