Harold Copper

Harold Copper, 81, retired Farm Credit Bank employee, avid Shocker fan, former coach and teacher, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014. Following retirement, he worked at his daughters local Allstate office. Visitation with the family, 6-8 p.m., Monday, July 28, Downing and Lahey Mortuary West. Service, 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, West Evangelical Free Church. Preceded in death by parents, James and Ina Copper; parents-in-law, Harold and Charlotte Riffe; son-in-law, Bob Kirtley; niece and nephew, Angela and Matthew Riffe. Survivors: wife of 61 years, Marilyn; daughters, Pam Kirtley of Wichita, Lori Prado of Ponca City, OK, Diana Appelhans (Mike) of Wichita; grandchildren, Justin, Jamie, Ryan, Taylor and Tyler; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Don Copper (Francie) of Smith Center; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
