  2. Dear Grandpa: thank you for being who you were! The stories of you coming from Germany and your life was amazing. You were a life of Brilliance! YOU always attended to your family first and dropped everything to be with us! When we almost lost you in 1995 it was our fate to spend the next 17 years with you learning how to cope with life with new limiations. We grew to know how to communicate with you even though the words never came out! You gave us the chance to see the world in a new light. I will miss your smile/laugh and shake of that fist with an occasional middle finger! I am happy for you to be at peace and free from pain. I know you are running around in heaven fixing things/playing with the electircal componets of the lights and talking the ears off of Big John/Nanny and your Mom and Dad! I am blessed to call you grandpa and be your caregiver for your last month! I will forever remember you in my heart/ and soul. Love Rebecca Melissa Notz Hays. Adam, Emma, Aubrey and Peyton Hays. Thanks for sharing your life with us!

  3. Dear grandpa, I\’ll miss you like crazy. You where probably the best there will ever be. I know you know I would be there if I could and you know that it would mean the world to me to be there. I\’ll miss you more than anything in the world. I\’ll miss you so much. I wish I could have seen you just one more time. But I\’ll see you again. I love you so much.

  4. Thank you for being a wonderful father in law (Dad) and a great Grandpa to our kids I will always remember you at all our outings like Thankings Giving you woluld laugh and smile watching everyone trying to shoot at the birdie and car hoods and miss some. Our Fathers Day barbaques when we would get a little crazy you always would laugh and smile that smile. You will always have place in my heart just like at mom’s house you will always have that special seat that you set in every day. I thank God for you and mom for giving me a wonderful husband your son. I wil miss you Love you Juanita and Harley (dog).

  5. Dolores and family, I was so sad to hear of Harold’s death. He will always hold a special spot in my heart!! I remember when I was a kid (Many many moons ago!!) and he stayed at our house in Dodge City when he worked at KGNO. My sister, Janice, and I used to stay up til midnight just so we could hear him say, ‘This is Hal Notz signing off’. We thought that was pretty special that we knew the guy on the radio!! Since I had only 3 male cousins I thought Hal was pretty neat!! even though he was one of the oldest in my generation and I was the youngest. May the Lord grant you all comfort and peace knowing that Harold is now without pain and his body is well. You all are in our prayers. With much love, Ted and Marilyn Holt Bader, St. Paul, NE
