Douglass, Harry “Marvin”, 83, self-employed petroleum geologist, died Thursday, December 7, 2006. Service 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 11, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Preceded in death by son, Marvin Joseph Douglass, brothers, Arthur and Joe Douglas and sisters, Opal Monsey and Mary Bennett. Survivors: wife, Ramona (Barg) Douglass; son, Brian Douglass of San Diego, CA; daughters, Ann “Marleen” Henderson of Lawrence, KS and Carol Douglass of Shawnee Mission,KS; grandchildren, Maria Helms of K.C., KS and Joseph Douglass Henderson of Wichita; sisters, Elva Staires of Inola, OK, Helen Hallford of Arlington, TX and Dorothy Ferguson of St. Louis, MO. A memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society, 4215 SE Blvd., Wichita, KS, 67210.

Kay, I just now read about your loss in the paper and want you to know I am thinking about you. I know Marvin’s last years his health was difficult for him and you as his caregiver. I am going to China Dec. 17 for Christmas with my son and daughter-in-law and will be back the first of the year. I’ll call you when I return and hope we can get together. I send my love.
