Hazel I. (Hughbanks) Holder

Hazel I. (Hughbanks) Holder, 93, passed away June 4, 2017. Hazel was a retired 4th National Bank Commercial Loan Officer. She was born in Attica, Kansas, on June 21, 1923, to Harvey L. and Elizabeth (Harnden) Hughbanks. In addition to her parents, Hazel is pre-deceased by her husband, Ernest L. Holder; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne, Lawrence (Laura), Royal (Esther) and Harvey (Jackie); sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorene (Clarence) LaValle, Faye Marie Hughbanks (infant), Hulah Hughbanks and Thelma (Howard) Tender; sister-in-law, Bernie Hughbanks, and brother-in-law, Bob Clark. Hazel is survived by her son, Jack (Kathleen) Holder of Ruston, LA; daughter, Terry (Gary) Peterson of Wichita; sister, Vera Clark of Kingman, KS, and brother, Delbert Hughbanks of Omaha, NE. She is also survived by six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Downing and Lahey West on Thursday, June 8 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Rosary will be on Friday, June 9 at 9:30 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial immediately following, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora in Wichita. Burial will be in Kingman, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in Hazels name with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Bishop Carroll Catholic High School and the Lords Diner.
