Helen Fortune, 87, Registered Nurse, died Thursday, March 10, 2022. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at All Saints Catholic Church. Helen was born in Ireland and will be laid to rest at Ballinroad Cemetery in Dungarvan, Ireland. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Helena Dee; husband, Dewayne Fortune; son, Shawn Fortune; siblings, Mick, Frank, and baby James Dee, Bridget Kirwan, Mary Brace. Survived by her sons, Kevin Fortune of Fort Worth, TX, Brian (Jackie) Fortune of Benton, KS; grandchildren, Erin (Thomas Wilson) Fortune-Wilson, Lynsey Fortune, Casey Fortune, Bryce (Katelyn) Fortune, Evan Fortune, Ethan Fortune; great-grandchildren, River and Sage Wilson; siblings, Maggie, Kathleen, and Nicky of Ireland, and Rita of Derby, KS. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Dialysis Patient Citizens Fund, 1001 Connecticut Ave. NW, Ste. 1230, Washington, DC 20036 www.dialysispatients.org. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.

Beautiful memories of my dear Aunt & Dewayne coming home to Ireland to see us all and especially the day I drove my mom, aunt Helen (Eileen) Aunt Maggie and Aunt Rita to Waterford castle and then we went onto jack Meades for a bbq and a few beers, we laughed so much it was such a lovely day out .
