Helen Joan Shawver

Helen Joan Shawver, 84, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died Sunday, December 4, 2016. Viewing will be from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, December 8, 2016. Visitation will be from 9:30 am 10:30 am., Friday, December 9, 2016; Funeral Service will follow at 10:30 am. Everything will take place at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Helen was a graduate of East High School, and a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority at Wichita State University. Helen was an active and sustaining member of the Junior League of Wichita. She was feisty and possessed a keen wit. Preceded in death by her Husband, Donald Shawver; Mother, Grace Ruby Davis Cameron; Father, Harry Davis. Survived by her children, Matthew (Stacia Razook) Shawver of Wichita, Susan (Dale Wells) Shawver of Leon, KS, Christopher (Connie) Shawver of Wichita, KS; Grandchildren, Emily (John) Ingram, Joanna (Travis) Eicher, Katherine (Terry) Orr, Jonathan Shawver; Brother, Bill L. Davis of San Diego, CA; sister-in-law, Mildred Seely of Poulsbo, WA; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Memorials have been established with: Wichita Audubon Society, PO Box 47607, Wichita, KS 67201; or Hillside Christian Church, 8330 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67206.
