Navrat, Helen, 83, homemaker, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011. Rosary is 6:00 pm Thursday, March 17 and Funeral Mass is 10:00 am, Friday, March 18, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband Michael. Survivors include children Michael J. Navrat, Jr. (Cindy) of Olathe, Cathy (Leon) Metzinger of Wichita, grandchildren, David Navrat, Jennifer Navrat, Zachary Metzinger, Kathryn (Brandon) Thompson, Kristen Metzinger, Cara (Russ) Lanzrath, Matthew Metzinger and Candice Metzinger and great-grandchildren, Ashton, Courtney and Rylee Thompson. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: St. Anthony House, 256 N. Ohio, Wichita, KS, 67214. Downing and Lahey East Mortuary.

I am so very sorry for your loss of Helen. I would like to thank Kathy for giving me the opportunity to get to know her mom these past few years. I didn\’t just work for her, she got to be a really good friend. Together we laughed, we cried (I took her to the vet to have Scottie put to sleep, then two weeks later I had to have my own cat put to sleep) and we shared, which included a cup of coffee. She was always an informative, fun, upbeat lady who I\’ll never forget. She has a wonderful family who I know will miss her more than me. She thought the world of all of you! Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
