Herman (Buz) Solomon, Jr. MD

Solomon, Herman (Buz), Jr., MD, 77, retired Dermatologist, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Buz was born in 1937 in Greenville, Mississippi to Ruth and Herman Solomon. He married Marcia Hyman in 1961 and graduated the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1962. Buz was very compassionate and dedicated to his work and cared deeply for his patients. He was board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. He was an avid pilot and outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, hiking and photography. Survivors include his wife, Marcia Solomon; daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Jeff Cartwright; son, David Solomon; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Dana Solomon; sister, Joan Groner; grandchildren, Hannah and Ben Cartwright, Coty and Lindsey Smith, Asher Solomon, Sophie, Adley and Cal Solomon. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM, Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Congregation Emanu-El. Memorials in loving memory of Buz have been established with Congregation Emanu-El, 7011 E.
