Herman G. Korte

Korte, Herman G., 93, of Butler Co., self -employed realtor and rancher, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012. The Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 9, with Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 10, both at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Herman was a first generation American. His father emigrated from Germany in 1895. He was very proud to have served in the U. S. Army during WWII, in the Pacific. Herman was a true man of the earth. His love of farming brought him great joy. He is survived by his loving family; his wife of 60 years, Pauline; sons, Steve (Mary) of Wichita and Tom (Rhonda) of Manhattan, KS; daughters, Iva Goodwin of Wichita and Rhonda Korte of College Station, TX; sister, Thresia Pierce “Tish” of Las Vegas, NV; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
