Irene Beth Hapes

Irene Beth Hapes, 85, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020. Services for family and friends will be held in Garden City at a later date. Irene was born on June 12, 1934, in Grenada, Colorado, to the late Harrison and Thelma Bennett. She was a longtime resident of Garden City. Irene was a wonderful mother. She loved to read, sew, crochet and work on ancestry. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Thelma Bennett; husband, Donald W. Hapes; brother, Jimmy Bennett. Survivors: sons, Donald D. (Dawn) Hapes; Ronald D, Hapes; daughters, Susan K. Snyder (Mike Keller), Sandra L. Christian; brother, Stephen H. Bennett; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
