Schuetz, Isabel C., 92, homemaker, threw off the bonds of this life for the glories of eternity with her Lord and Savior, in the cool hours of the early morning on June 9, 2005. She was born on a farm outside of Manhattan, Kansas, on September 26, 1912, the youngest of nine children. Her parents, Edward and Rosa Cunningham, and her five brothers and three sisters predeceased her. In the difficult years of the depression, she was fortunate to be able to attend Kansas State University where she graduated in 1933 with a degree in journalism. She worked for the Civil Aeronautics Administration in Topeka and eventually moved to Wichita. There she met the love of her life, Arthur Schuetz, at a Catholic singles dance. They were married in 1942. For the remainder of her life, she was a homemaker who dedicated herself to her family and to her church. Isabel is survived by her husband of 63 years, Arthur Schuetz; her daughters, Janiece (Jay) Lies, and Camilla (Robert) Hartman, both of Wichita; grandchildren, Joseph (Linda) Lies of Wichita, Brandy Lynn (Steve) Collins of Overland Park, KS, Alexander Meyer of Portland, OR and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Monday, June 13, at 10:00 A.M. The rosary will be held at Downing Lahey Mortuary East on Sunday, June 12, at 7:00 P.M. A memorial has been established with Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Endowment Fund, 124 N. Roosevelt, Wichita, KS, 67208. Rosary 7:00 P.M., Sunday, Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
