Jadidiah Ayanna Ponce was born on a Friday morning, September 6, 2002, to Kimberly and Jesus Ponce. She was the older sister to two brothers, Jesus and Jacob. When she was a child, Jadidiah showed interest in many activities. She began Girl Scouts at age 5 and continue to participate until her junior year of high school. At age 6, she joined Danza and continued to participate with the same group until she was 18 years old. In middle school, she was introduced to AVID, a group she continued to participate in through her senior year. When she started high school, she developed a passion for cheerleading and drama, becoming president of the drama club and lettering in both activities. She pushed to receive a cord at graduation as well. Upon completing high school, Jadidiah earned a cheerleading scholarship at Coffeyville Community College. She attended for a year before realizing that being away from family was not what she wanted for her life, and she came home. The following year she and Santiago became pregnant with a baby boy. On November 8, 2023 Geronimo Paul was born and their life as a family was just beginning.On May 22, 2024, while at home, Jadidiah suffered a gunshot wound that took her life.She leaves behind her baby boy, Geronimo, and the love of her life, Santiago. She is also survived by her parents, her brothers, her aunts and uncle, her 3 grandmothers and her grandfather, many cousins and so many friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfather and two baby boy cousins.If you know her smile, she left that behind with her son.Private services have been held.
