James E. Barkley

James E. Barkley Sheet Metal Journeyman member of Local #29 and Boeing retiree, passed away on January 16, 2018 at his home. James was born on July 31, 1938. Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank and Mamie Barkley; brothers, Harold, Lee and Robert, and his sister, Lola. He truly loved his family and was loved and adored by them in return. He is survived by his wife, Marlene; sons, Brad (Vic) Barkley, Kent (Kathy) Barkley, and daughters, Karla Barkley (Smitty Smith) and Jody Alloway. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren, Geoff (Kelly) Barkley, Amy (Matt) Pierce, Miah Fisher, Jim Bob (Alicia) Fisher, Michael Barkley, Amanda (Jeff) McMillan, Kyle (Amber) Barkley, Rick Smith, Kendra Elliott, Cory Alloway and Kayl Barkley, along with several great-grandkids. He was privileged to be under the care of the Harry Hynes Hospice caregivers whom he truly enjoyed and appreciated his time with.
