Flaherty, James E., 96, retired Case Power and Equipment office manager, died Monday, September 24, 2007. Rosary, 7:00 P.M., Thursday, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M., Friday, All Saints Catholic Church. Preceded in death by son, Jim. Survivors: wife, Bernadine (Brull) Flaherty; daughters, Patty Barnes (Joe) of Fairfax, VA and Janice Clarkson of Pratt, KS; sister, Lucille Polifka of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Christina, Allison and Emily Barnes, Andrea and Austin Clarkson and Kevin and Bryan Flaherty. A memorial has been established with Georgetown Retirement Home, 1655 Georgetown, Wichita, KS, 67218.

Dear Bernadine and Family, I am sorry to read about Jim in the Hays Daily News. I remember when Phyllis and I came to Topeka on a business trip, you both took us out to dinner and before that you took us through the State House. I sure miss Phyllis.
