James F. Collins

Collins, James F., 85, retired Boeing lead inspector, died Saturday, June 11, 2011. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Southwest Presbyterian Church. James served in the US Army as a paratrooper during WWII. James was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ethel (Potts) Collins, first wife Winifred D. (Johnson) Collins, and a step-son, Forrest Newlin. He is survived by his wife, Velma; daughter, Cheryl, of Wichita; step-daughter, Nelda L. Ellington (Howard W.), of Wichita; step-sons, Alfred Newlin (Jean), of Marysville, KS, and Terry Newlin (Janet), of Wichita; step-daughter-in-law, Charlene Newlin, of Ft. worth, TX; sister, Leona Anderson (Cleo), of Ponca City, OK; uncle, Bub Collins, of Wagner, OK; 14 step-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild.
