Skolaut, James L., 74, retired Area Director for the U.S. Department of Labor, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, Walter and Mary Skolaut; brothers Herman, Vernon and Earl Skolaut. Survivors: wife, Sheila; children, Gail Tatman (Jack) of Wichita, Lynn Nelson (Terry) of Garden Plain, Joann Schmidt (Joe) of Des Moines, IA, Greg Skolaut (Amy) of Omaha, NE; sisters, Irene Polson and Gladys Roller (Bill); brother, Paul Skolaut (Mary Ann) all of Wichita; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family, 6:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary West, 10515 W. Maple.
