James "Jim" Maitlan Pickle, Jr., 79, Retired Programmer Analyst, died Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Monday, October 31, 2022, at University United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, James, Sr. and Maggie Pickle. Survived by his wife, Phyllis Nickel; son, Randy (Rose) Pickle; stepsons, Jonathan (Sarah) Nickel, Philip (Scott) Nickel; grandchildren, Andrew (Kasey) Pickle, Laura (Rance) Mayfield, Catherine Pickle (Travis Maxwell, fiancé); great-grandchildren, Maitlin and Miles Pickle; step-grandchildren, Chloe and Julie Nickel. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with: University United Methodist Church Library, 2220 N. Yale Ave., Wichita, KS 67220 and Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.
