James Phelan

James Daniel Phelan, 56, passed away April 15, 2016. The beloved son of Dan and Mary Phelan, Jim worked at Starkeys sheltered workshop for more than 35 years. He enjoyed attending church, particularly the Religious Nurture Center, and spending time with family and friends. Visitation with the Family will be 7-8:30 p.m., Friday, April 22 at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West, 10515 W. Maple, Wichita. Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23 at First United Methodist Church, 330 N. Broadway, Wichita. Jim is survived by his sisters, Ann Phelan Lee and Beth Hodges (Mark); nieces, Kathleen Lee, Amy Fowles (Landon), Gail Ellis (Ryan) and Sarah Strayhall (Matt); numerous aunts and cousins, and his Starkey family, Terry, Steve, Mickey and Cindy.
