Howard, James W., 96 retired 28 year Group Supervisor for the IRS, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006. The service will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 13, East Heights United Methodist Church Chapel. The graveside service will be at 12:00 P.M., Monday, February 13, Highland Cemetery, Winfield, KS. James married Hilma Nadine Dickinson November 26, 1930 in Douglass, KS. They were married for 67 years. She preceded him in death in 1998. Survivors: son, Gary W. Howard of Wichita; brother John Carson Howard of Carlsbad, NM; sister-in-law, Roberta Dickinson Wilson of Wichita; several nieces,nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial has been established with Odyssey Foundation, 125 N. Market, S-920, Wichita, KS, 67202. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
