Jane Mohn, 93, died Friday, September 26, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas.

Jane Ellen Markle Mohn was born on February 27, 1932, in Hutchinson, Kansas to Vernon and Mildred (Stepp) Markle. She was the middle of three daughters. The Markles lived in Wichita, Kansas when she attended Woodland Elementary School. When she was 10 years of age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized in Waco Baptist Church by Rev. Reffner. The family moved to Colorado and she attended 7th grade in Colorado Springs then middle and high school in Hayden, Colorado through her junior year. That summer she lived with her grandparents Dora and William Stepp in Kingman, Kansas and graduated high school in 1950.

She attended Wichita, Kansas Business College and was employed by Boeing in 1957 for 13 ½ years where she met then married Arnold M. Mohn on October 28, 1967. They were duplicate bridge partners. They moved to Evergreen, Colorado in 1973 and after his retirement, traveled throughout Europe and visited family in Oslo.

In 2005, she moved to her home in Sun City, Arizona. Over the years she kept in touch with her family by car, plane, then email, phone calls, cards and letters often with a copy included of her recent painting. Family visits in Sun City even to celebrate her 80th and 90th birthdays kept the ties that bind. Her passion for ballroom dancing, then art in oil, acrylics, pastels, and watercolor blossomed.

In loving memory, she was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred (Stepp) and father, Vern Markle; sisters, Joanne Lee Meeker and Verna Jean Foster; son, Jim Day; daughters, Diana Lee Day Dawkins and Marilyn Kay Butcher; grandson, Jeremy Dawkins; nephew, Mikel Meeker; husbands, James N. Day, Jr., Merle “Jim” Butcher and Arnold M. Mohn.

She is survived by daughter-in-law, Mandy Day; son-in-law, Louis Dawkins; four grandchildren, April Landwehr, Amanda Martin, Robert Dawkins, Shelley Dawkins Castor; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and three nieces, Donna Hendren, Kathy Barud and Susan Wilcox.

Private services will be held at Cleveland Kansas Cemetery.
