Jennifer Lynn James

Jennifer Lynn James, 44, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Visitation with the family, 6-8 p.m., Monday, January 5, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Memorial Service, 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 6, Pathway Church. Jennifer dedicated most of her adult life to children. She taught Special Education in Wichita for 22 years. She and her husband fostered more than 13 children and adopted 2 of them. She was also a mentor with Youth Horizons and volunteered with Ignite youth groups at Pathway Church. Jennifer had a strong belief and love for God and was blessed with a family that provided much love and support. She would not have been able to fight her illness without the love, support and help of God and her husband of 25 years, David Lee James. She will be missed. Other survivors include sons, Michael Lee and Devin Lee; parents, Terry Voke (Anita) and Susan Voke; sisters, Jessica Woolsoncroft (Chuck), Jacklynn Walters (Justin), and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.
