I apologize for such a late addition to the memory of Joan. I have no other reason than that I just now am finding out that Joan is in a better place now than when I last saw her. I met Joan the summer before we entered either Charles Curtis Junior High or Southeast High. Regardless I instantly fell in love with her. That contagious smile always is with me! We both sang in school musicals because we both loved music. Although we knew each for such a long time I never asked her for a date. And I always regretted that. I always thought of Joan as the girl I could never have. Her beauty always showed on both her being but also within her. I hope that Jolene placed her faith in the fact that she will see Joan again some day in the future. For I know that Joan and Jolene attended 1st Methodist Church there in Wichita. Again I will always have Joan in my memories and hope that those close to her in her latter life will do the same! Laurence Nelson (Larry)
