John Edward Cummings, 65, died Monday, January 12, 2026.
Our beloved John was born profoundly autistic. Although he never spoke, he was blessed with a charismatic personality. All of our lives have been enriched by his presence.
Rosary will be at 10:30 am, Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Chapel at Catholic Care Center, Bel Aire, KS.
Preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Cummings; niece, Lucia Cummings.
Survived by his mother, Laura Cummings of Wichita; sister, Anne Cummings of Andover; brothers, Thomas “Tom” (Lisa) Cummings of Shawnee, William “Bill” (Nika) Cummings of Wichita; nieces, Sally Sinn, Ellen Cummings, Madeline (Matthew) Delgahausen, Elizabeth (Danny) Peete, Elena (Logan) Petersen, Julia Cummings; nephews, Frank (Katie) Cummings, Joseph Cummings, John Cummings, Brian Cummings, Christopher Cummings, William Cummings, George Cummings; great-nephews, Kenneth, Sebastian, Simon, Frank; great-nieces, Georgianna, Joann, Veronica, Amelia, Lauren.
