John F. Barthelme, 42, died Monday, November 17, 2025, following a vehicle accident. Over the years, he enjoyed spending time with family, playing music, being outdoors, and making people laugh. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. John worked for PepsiCo as a service technician. Rosary will be at 10:00am, Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, both on Monday, November 24, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

John is preceded in death by his father, Brian Barthelme and stepfather, Bob Lavelle. He is survived by his mother, Lucy Lavelle of Wichita, KS; wife, Elizabeth Barthelme of Hesston, KS; daughter, Danielle Barthelme; son, Paul Barthelme; brothers, Luke (Kelly) Barthelme, Matt (Erin) Barthelme; parents-in-law, Gerhard and Vonnie Fast; stepmother, Samantha Barthelme; stepsister, Kellie Lavelle; stepbrothers, Joe Lavelle, Pat Lavelle, Nick (Megan) Lavelle; brother-in-law, Aron (Annie) Fast; many nieces and nephews.
