John H. Romig

Romig, John H., 87, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012. He was born July 3, 1925 in Haven. KS. John was a retired Boeing employee and WWII Army veteran in the 94th Infantry division and fought at the Battle of The Bulge. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. John was loved dearly by all who knew him. He enjoyed twenty years of RVing, spending most of his winters in South Texas and summers traveling the United States, Canada and Alaska with his camping club friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and May; son, David; brother, Lawrence; sisters, Edna, Maxine, Betty, Nellie and Ella Rose. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patsy; daughters, Rebecca (Richard) and Teresa (Robert); grandchildren, Scott (Sherry), Clinton, Matthew and Tammy; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Emily and Daeton; brother, Virgil; sister, Merlyn. In accordance with Johns wishes, there will be no viewing or services. A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202.
