John H. Widdowson

Widdowson, John H., 86, loving husband and father, licensed chemical engineer and patent attorney, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006. Service 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 26, Grace Presbyterian Church. John and Melba loved to travel and attended every Olympics starting in Rome in 1960 with the last one attended being in Sydney in 2000. John was a NCAA basketball fan and went to consecutive Final Four Tournaments starting in 1972 and ending in 2005. Survivors include his wife, Melba (Clayton) Widdowson; sons, John H. Widdowson IV and Philip Widdowson; granddaughter, Amber Rose. A memorial has been established with Grace Presbyterian Church, 5002 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS, 67208. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
