Mavec, John Matthew, 81, retired Engineering Specialist for Cessna, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M., Monday, June 16, 2014; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 17, 2014, both at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Anne Mavec; wife, Donna Mavec. Survived by his children, Matthew Mark (Jeanie) Mavec of Park City, KS, Theresa Anne (Barry) Mavec of Derby, John Michael (Helen) Mavec, Joseph Thomas Mavec, both of Wichita, Dr. James Anthony (Chris) Mavec of Leawood, KS, Monica Marie (Lee) Wilper of Emerald, KS; 18 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
