John McGreevy

John P. “Pat” McGreevy, was born August 4, 1940 in Wichita, Kansas. He passed away at home on October 1, 2012. Rosary, 7 p.m., Thursday, October 4; Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Friday, October 5, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Pat was a retired co-owner of McGreevys Midwest Meat Company, founder of Kansas Golf Turf and a football coach. He was a 20-year heart transplant survivor. He was preceded in death by parents, W.E. Sr. and Helen McGreevy, and brother, Kenneth McGreevy. He is survived by wife, Polly; sons, Brian (Sarah) and Corey (Amy) McGreevy; grandchildren, Amanda, Brett, Andrew and Tyler; brothers, W.E. Jr., Herb, Joe, Tim and Mike; sisters, Mary, Karen and Rosie. Memorial established with Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, 8101 W. Central, Wichita, KS 67212 and A Better Choice, 3007 E.
