Jorita Belden, 89, retired aviation Engineering Tech Writer, died Friday, August 29, 2025.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 4, 2025, Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm, Friday, September 5, 2025, both at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Belden; son, Kevin Duty; parents, Joseph and Mattie Watson; grandchild, Benjamin Duty; and sister, Martha Benson.
Survived by her sons, Keith (Peggy) Duty, Ken (Jennifer) Duty, Brent (Michele) Belden, Wade Belden; daughter, Deana (Brad) Belden Christopher; sister, Dorothy Minson; thirteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with: Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.

I was Jorita’s boss for a few years and wanted to tell everyone what an amazing employee she was and such a fun person to work with. Will tell my memories of Jorita to all of her surviving family members if I get a chance. Loved all the special employees that worked for me and some more than others, Jorita was among the ones “more than others”. So sorry for our loss.
